About the British Consul, Denver
The United Kingdom and Colorado have a longstanding relationship that predates Colorado’s statehood in 1876. Since December 2015, Erin Kuhn has served at the British Consul (Government and Prosperity) at the UK Government Office in Denver and seeks to promote UK business, economic, political and scientific/research ties with Colorado.She was previously Chief of Staff for Global Programs and University Life at New York University, where she helped to expand NYU’s global footprint to 14 campuses worldwide and position NYU as a leading institution in international education.
Immediately prior to that role, Erin worked as a consultant for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, focusing on global communications and advocacy efforts to eradicate polio and  more broadly, to promote the delivery of life-saving vaccines to children around the world.
Erin began her career at the U.S. Department of State, where she held several roles within the Bureau of International Organization Affairs in Washington, DC and at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations in New York, including serving as the lead officer for Middle East affairs at the United Nations and as the Department’s liaison to Congress on issues related to international organizations.
Erin holds a BA in International Relations from the University of Southern California and an MA in International Affairs from The George Washington University. She has also studied Arabic at Georgetown University and the American University in Cairo.
Erin resides in Denver with her husband and their daughter. Her interests include skiing, cooking, and travelling.
