Sue Taylor is Vice President of Economics and Policy for Leprino Foods Company, the world’s largest manufacturer of mozzarella cheese and a leading producer of whey protein, lactose and other dairy ingredients. Located in Denver, Colo. Leprino Foods operates nine manufacturing plants in the United States and has joint ventures in the UK and in Brazil. As a family-owned company operating for over 65 years, the company supplies the highest quality products to food and nutrition companies in 40+ countries around the globe. The acceleration in Leprino Foods’ exports over the last decade has been through a combination of creative entrepreneurial spirit and advances in trade disciplines through the WTO agreement, NAFTA, and the US-Korea Free Trade Agreement.
Known throughout the industry as a trade policy and dairy economics expert, Sue chairs the trade policy committee for the U.S. Dairy Export Council, a membership organization that represents the global trade interests of U.S. dairy producers, manufacturers and traders.  Additionally, she serves on a U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Technical Advisory Committee that advises the Secretary of Agriculture and the U.S. Trade Representative about agricultural trade issues.
